This is a small cup. It is 2 inches tall and two inches in diameter. This cup was thrown with porcelain, and shaped like a little bell. The glaze shows pattern and movement, and unity. The base is shadow green, with iron tan layered on in stripes over this, and cobalt blue in the gaps, which melted nicely to move down the cup. Overall, I'm proud of how this glaze turned out, in spite of this being a little experiment.

This is my second finished wheel project, it's a jar. I threw this cup using vashon white, and it is approx. 4 inches tall and 3 inches in diameter. While making this cup, I improved my ability to make a uniformly thick wall, and how to round off the lip nicely. I glazed it with clear gaze, to keep the focus on the carved swirls and the black specks in the clay. The swirls show pattern and rhythm.
This is my finished wheel project, it's a cup. I threw this cup using vashon white, and it is approx. 5 inches tall and 3 inches in diameter. While making this cup, I improved my ability to make a uniformly thick wall. I glazed it by dipping it in shadow green, then dipping only half in cobalt blue, also covering the inside. The interesting patterns of the glaze is the central focus of the project, as the shape is basic, and the patterns themselves show movement. The two colors harmonize with each other, creating a calming effect.
