This is my porcelain vase. It's about 5 inches tall and 5 inches in diameter. I glazed it using shadow green, with white covering the body, and teal on the bottom. The carving of the bottom third shows pattern in the lines. The foot of this project is kinda wack, and it's a little off center but the glaze is interesting enough that it disracts from this.

This bowl/pot is porcelain and is about 5 inches tall and 6 inches in diameter. I squared the edges of the lip a bit, but that's not really obvious in the pictures. I glazed this piece using cobalt blue with purple layered over it and shadow green dripped down the sides. I used a little too much glaze, evident in the globs on the bottom. The flow of the glazes shows movement, and the colors chosen harmonize together and show unity. The foot ring is a little sloppy, but the rest of the piece distracts from this.
This is my vase thing. It's about 5 inches tall and 6 in diameter. It's kinda shaped like a traffic cone? I glazed it using shadow green, teal, and clear blue. It's porcelain.
This is my little cup, it is 2 inches tall and an inch and half in diameter. I used porcelain and carved a little butterfly on the side. I glazed this with purple and white on the body, and the butterfly is glazed with shadow green. The purple and light blue show harmony in the colors, and the shadow green contrasts with this. This is my favorite project because it's small and useless! This is my cup with a pulled handle. It's 3 inches tall and about 2 in diameter. I focused on making this cup small for espresso. I threw this using porcelain. I glazed the cup cobalt blue with a little bit of white on the top rim. The dark blue emphasizes the cup's small scale, and the white ring shows movement as the glaze flowed down. I refined my handle-pulling skills while making this project, but the handle still cracked a little bit at the joints
This is my extra project: a vase that was supposed to have a lid, but i lost it. It is approximately 4 inches tall and 3 in diameter. I glazed it using shadow green and and teal. This project shows color and harmony, and movement in the glaze drips.
This is my second bowl project. This bowl is 3 inches tall and 3 inches in diameter. I ran out of time to properly foot it, so the foot is all janky. I decided to keep the form simple and rounded to emphasize the glaze. I used a base of shadow green, and layered cobalt blue over it. I think the cobalt blue must have some white in it, because the shadow green turned into a metallic greyish color in some places, like it does with white glaze.
This is my finished bowl, approximately 4 inches tall and 4 inches in diameter, thrown with porcelain. I carved little stripes on the outer bottom half, and swirling stripes inside the bowl with a speckled bottom. These carving show pattern and movement, and the outer stripes move up, and the inner stripes swirl counter-clockwise. I glazed this bowl using a base of shadow green with purple on the bottom third of the outside, and cobalt blue on the top third and the inside. The purpose of this bowl was to see how a complex glazing pattern looked with a semi-complex carving, and it looks way too busy. Also, the foot is terrible.
This is my finished vase, approximately 6 inches tall and 5 inches in diameter, thrown with vashon white clay. While making this piece I focused on creating a textured surface while the clay was still wet. I glazed this piece with turquoise, with no other color, because of the already textured and patterned surface.
